02THE ARAHANT · LINEAGE
Tradition holds that he was born in Java around 1500 as Asta Paka, also known as the One Perfect in the Noble Eightfold Path. He later propagated Mahayana esoteric teachings in Bali, guided sentient beings and, in his later years, attained the fruition of an Arahant, receiving the revered name Mukongso.
